Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, the number on the scale just won't budge. For me, that number seems to be stuck at 218 pounds.
On Friday, I weighed-in live on the Good Morning Show and for the second time during a live weigh-in 218 pounds appeared right before me. However, I was happy to see 218 pounds glaring right back at me on the scale.
Let me explain, two weeks after losing five pounds my weight jumped right back to where it was before I weighed on the Good Morning Show.
That was devastating news to me, but I also used that number to motivate me. I knew I had a few options, A) Quit B) Do my best, but know my next weigh-in would probably be the same number or C) Eat up the house.
I opted for "B." Do my best. For the next week and a half I worked hard at the gym, almost daily, sweating it up. There were times I wanted to give up, but I knew I couldn't let myself quit - and especially not "quit on myself."
I know for me, my Weigh 2 Go journey to lose 100 pounds is only getting harder, but I'm not going to quit. So far, I'm down 26 pounds, but I'm going to take it one pound at a time. I'm also going to be better at staying focused on eating healthier and putting even more of an effort at the gym.
We all have "good" and "bad" days on the scale, but never let your number set you back.
I know from personal experience that many times I have let a number stand in my way and its stood in my way of everything. But it can only stand in your way if you let it. These are times where you have to keep on pushing and that's exactly what I'm doing!
