Den Bosch, Netherlands (Sports Network) - Second seed Stan Wawrinka and big-serving Frenchman Nicolas Mahut will do battle in Saturday's final at the $545,000 Topshelf Open, a final grass-court Wimbledon tune-up.

The world No. 10 Swiss star Wawrinka saved 10 break points in beating Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-1, 6-4, while the qualifier Mahut handled Belgian fellow non-seed Xavier Malisse 6-3, 6-3 on Day 6 at Autotron Rosmalen.

The 28-year-old Wawrinka is 4-8 in his career finals, including 1-2 this year, with the title coming on red clay in Portugal. The 2013 Madrid Masters runner- up is seeking his first-ever ATP championship on grass.

"I want to say that I can play really good on grass, I just need to find a way to win a few matches and get some confidence," said Wawrinka. "I can say today I played my best match of the tournament and I'm really happy for that. I really enjoy playing on grass and I think my game can fit really good on this surface."

The 31-year-old journeyman Mahut will attempt to capture his first-ever ATP title in his third career final. He was a two-time runner-up back in 2007, including a grass court at London's Queen's Club.

Mahut is best known for losing to American John Isner in the first round at Wimbledon three years ago, when the two men battled in the longest-ever tennis match, a more-than-11-hour affair over three days at the All England Club.

Wawrinka and the world No. 240 Mahut will stage their first-ever ATP matchup on Saturday.

The newest Den Bosch champion will earn $93,000.
