Carson, CA (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York could not have asked for a much better contest to get back to winning ways.

The club, winless since Aug. 3, will head to the StubHub Center on Sunday to take on lowly Chivas USA, but that still does not mean that the victory is a foregone conclusion.

The Goats will be revved up as they look to end a horrid run that has seen them collect just one win from 19 league matches.

And New York's road form has not been stellar this season as the club has posted a 1-3-2 record in its last six contests away from Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls simply cannot afford to slip up against a team that trails them in the overall MLS table by 21 points.

"They don't have the best record, but we know that any team can beat anyone in this league," Red Bulls defender Brandon Barklage told a correspondent from the club's official website. "So we have to be prepared. I think there's some areas on the field where we can kind of exploit them, and we're going to bring a game plan into that, we're going to stick with it and we feel confident going into (California). Hopefully we can come away with three points."

New York was held to a scoreless home draw by the Philadelphia Union last time out, spurning a chance to take sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference.

Chivas, meanwhile, has bottomed the Western Conference for much of the season. The Goats were close to claiming all three points at the StubHub center on Wednesday when they went into halftime with a 1-0 lead of FC Dallas, but a second-half collapse saw the visitors walk out with a 3-1 victory despite playing the final nine minutes with only 10 men.

"We're in games, we're in ball games," Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy said after the match. "You have to commend this group for being together and really still showing up and fighting and getting leads in games and getting into position to get results and get points. Tonight I think we're all disappointed that we go a man up and we don't get a result. In the end we can't say this group has given up by any means, we're going to keep fighting to the end."
