Commerce City, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids moved their unbeaten streak to five games on Saturday, handing struggling Chivas USA a 2-0 defeat at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Atiba Harris tallied the opener after 11 minutes for the hosts, and Nathan Sturgis added to the lead in the 78th to give the Rapids three wins from their last four games.

Chivas is in the midst of a woeful run of form, losing for the fourth straight time. The Goats have now been outscored 13-1 in those four defeats.

Chris Klute was the architect of the first goal when he took a pass on the left wing and delivered a low cross near the penalty spot, where the onrushing Harris slid in to redirect the ball past goalkeeper Dan Kennedy.

Bobby Burling had a good chance in the 17th minute but he headed a corner kick wide from six yards.

The Rapids had just two shots on goal in the match, but they managed to score on both with the second goal arriving 12 minutes from time to secure the win.

Brian Mullan played Deshorn Brown into the area on the right and he drove a ball into the six-yard box for Sturgis to finish off from a few yards.
