Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Nail Yakupov and Jordan Eberle each scored
twice as the Edmonton Oilers eased past the Calgary Flames 8-2 on Wednesday.
Taylor Hall had a goal and four assists, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins added a goal and
three helpers, and Ryan Whitney and Sam Gagner each tallied a goal and an
assist for the Oilers, who moved into eighth place in the Western Conference
with 39 points following the win. Edmonton now holds a one-point edge in the
standings over the St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators.
Devan Dubnyk turned away 15-of-17 shots in the win.
Matt Stajan scored a pair of goals less than three minutes apart in the first
period for the Flames, losers in three straight.
Joey MacDonald made 31 saves, but allowed all eight goals in the setback.
