Flames nip Avs amidst Iginla trade talks

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Mike Cammalleri scored two second-period goals and Calgary edged the Colorado Avalanche, 4-3, amid reports franchise icon and Flames captain Jarome Iginla had been traded to the Boston Bruins.

Iginla had played 441 consecutive games before being a healthy scratch Wednesday night.

According to TSN of Canada, the Flames will receive two prospects and a first- round pick at this year's NHL Draft from the Bruins.

Jiri Hudler and Steve Begin each lit the lamp in the first period for the Flames, who have won eight straight at Saddledome.

Ryan O'Reilly had a goal and an assist for Colorado, which fell to 0-7-3 in its last 10 on the road. The Avalanche have lost three straight and seven of eight overall.
