Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley will
be in the team's broadcasting booth this season, effectively retiring after
nine seasons, all with the Redskins.
Cooley, who holds Washington's all-time record for receptions by a tight end,
was released by the team prior to the start of last season but was re-signed
when Fred Davis was injured during the year.
The 31-year-old Cooley was a two-time Pro Bowl selection during his tenure
in Washington, recording 429 catches for 4,711 yards and 33 touchdowns
over 116 games.
