Kaman, Mavs hold off Blazers

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Chris Kaman poured in a game-high 26 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Dallas Mavericks held off a late Portland rally to down the Trail Blazers 96-91 on Sunday.

Dallas led by as many as 26 points in the second half, but saw the Blazers pull within three points in the final seconds.

Shawn Marion scored 20 points and Vince Carter added 14 points off the bench for the Mavs, who trail the Utah Jazz by 2 1/2 games for the final spot in the Western Conference playoff picture.

Will Barton scored a career-high 22 points to go with 13 rebounds and six assists off the bench and LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 18 points for Portland, which has been eliminated from playoff contention for the second consecutive season.
