CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Panthers coach Ron Rivera says defensive end Charles Johnson "more than likely" will not play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins because of a knee injury.
Rivera says that likely means Mario Addison, Frank Alexander and rookie West Horton will platoon at that position.
The coach says, "They are all very versatile guys for us."
Defensive end Greg Hardy doesn't believe there will be a fall off if Johnson can't play. He says that's nothing against the man they call "Big Money," but rather a reflection of his confidence in the players behind him.
Hardy says "nothing is going to be different" against the Dolphins without Johnson and promised "we're going to produce like we always do."
The Dolphins have allowed 41 sacks this season, the most in the NFL.
