WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest's 31-game regular season schedule was released by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Thursday afternoon. The Demon Deacons are set to open the season at home on Friday, Nov. 8, against Colgate.

The ACC announced tip-off times and TV designations for the conference portion of the schedule. Non-conference dates have been set, but all times listed for those games are tentative until TV designations have been determined.

Wake Forest will open the conference season against a familiar foe, hosting rival North Carolina on Sunday, Jan. 5, in primetime at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.

In fact, the Deacons will play all of their in-state rivals on national TV. Wake Forest's Feb. 4 game at Duke and Feb. 11 game at NC State will be broadcast on ESPNU, while the Deacons' home finale against Duke on Mar. 5 will be shown on ESPN2.

All conference games carried on an ESPN network will also be available on the WatchESPN app. All conference games carried on the ACC Network or a regional sports network will also be available on ESPN3.

The ACC, which will use an 18-game regular season schedule for the second straight season, features three new teams in Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Syracuse. Wake Forest will host Notre Dame (Jan. 25) and Syracuse (Jan. 29) and will play at Pitt (Jan. 11).

The Deacons will also host NC State (Jan. 15), Georgia Tech (Feb. 1), Florida State (Feb. 15), Clemson (Feb. 25) and Boston College (Mar. 1).

Wake Forest will play home-and-home series with Clemson, Duke and North Carolina.

The non-conference portion of the Deacons' schedule is highlighted by the team's appearance in the Battle 4 Atlantis over Thanksgiving weekend. Wake Forest will open against Kansas on Thanksgiving Day and then face either Villanova or USC on Black Friday. The other bracket features Iowa, Tennessee, UTEP and Xavier. All Atlantis games will be broadcast on either AXS or NBC Sports.

Wake Forest will host five non-conference games in November beginning with the season opener vs. Colgate. The Deacons will also host VMI (Nov. 12), Presbyterian (Nov. 15), Jacksonville (Nov. 18) and The Citadel (Nov. 21) in a Battle 4 Atlantis play-in game.

The month of December sees Wake Forest host Tulane (Dec. 4), Richmond (Dec. 7), St. Bonaventure (Dec. 17) and Triad-rival UNCG (Dec. 21).

The Deacons will travel to Xavier on Saturday, Dec. 28, to take on the Musketeers in the Skip Prosser Classic. The game will be broadcast on the new network FOX Sports 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Wake Forest will play one exhibition game, hosting Brevard on Friday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m.
