HIGH POINT-THOMASVILLE, N.C. - The HiToms will play Team USA in a two-game series at historic Finch Field on June 29th and 30th. First pitches are set for 7 pm and 5 pm, respectively.

Three players who star collegiately in the state of North Carolina anchor Team USA, which is visiting The Triad for the very first time. Skye Bolt has helped the North Carolina Tar Heels to the cusp of the College World Series while Trea Turner and Carlos Rodon have the North Carolina State Wolfpack already set to play in Omaha.

Team USA also features five other players competing in this year's College World Series. UCLA's David Berg and Adam Plutko anchor the USA pitching staff along with Oregon State's Dan Child. The Beavers' Michael Conforto and Mississippi State's Adam Frazier add significant punch to Team USA's deep and powerful lineup.

Rodon has been the Wolfpack's bona fide ace. The southpaw from Holly Springs, N.C. has tossed two complete games in 17 starts, posting a 9-2 record to go along with his 3.19 ERA. In 118.1 innings, Rodon has struck out an extraordinary 170 batters while walking just 42 and allowing 85 hits. Opponents are hitting just .201 against him.

Meanwhile Turner is leading the Wolfpack in batting average (.378), on-base percentage (.460), slugging percentage (.571), triples (four) and stolen bases (27). The sophomore infielder has also notched 13 doubles, seven home runs and 41 RBIs while walking (35) more than he has struck out (30).

Bolt has also put together a stellar campaign for the Tar Heels, batting .335/.432/.515 with 13 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 50 RBIs in 49 games. The switch-hitting freshman outfielder has stolen 10 bases in 13 attempts en route to scoring 46 runs this season.

The UCLA pitching tandem of Plutko and Berg has completely shut down opposing batters. Making 17 starts, Plutko owns an 8-3 record with a 2.35 ERA. He has allowed just 84 hits in 111 innings, walking 27 while striking out 77. Berg, the Bruins' closer, has been near unhittable in relief, going 7-0 with a 0.88 ERA while picking up 21 saves in 46 appearances. He has struck out 73 batters compared to just eight walks and 49 hits allowed in 71.1 innings. Opponents are batting a miniscule .194 against him.

Child has pitched to a 4-1 record in 12 appearances including nine starts. In 38.1 innings, he has given up 36 hits, walked 16 and punched out 28 batters. Conforto, his Oregon State teammate, is hitting .320/.444/.515 with 10 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs and 45 RBIs in 61 games this season. He has swiped six bases while scoring 46 runs.

Frazier owns a batting line of .359/.405/.475 with 19 doubles, seven triples, 38 RBIs and 60 runs scored in 66 games for Mississippi State.
