FJ Invitational Returns To Sedgefield Country Club

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Many of the best junior golfers in the world are set to play in the 12th annual AJGA FJ Invitational beginning Monday, June 10, 2013 at Sedgefield Country Club.

This year's tournament once again boasts one of the year's strongest fields with 15 of the top 25 and 32 of the top-50 players in the May 28 AJGA Polo Golf Rankings.

* FJ Invitational Tournament Schedule:
*Monday: Morning practice rounds; Junior-Am Tournament at 1:30
*Tuesday: First-round tee times 7 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
*Wednesday: Second-round tee times 7 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
*Thursday: Third-round tee times 7 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
*Friday: Final-round tee times 7 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Awards Ceremony following play.

The 12th annual FJ Invitational is set for June 10-14 at Sedgefield Country Club. Admission is free.

*Back Home at Sedgefield: After a one-year hiatus, the AJGA FJ Invitational returns home to Sedgefield Country Club this year. Last year, the tournament was contested at the Cardinal Golf & Country Club, now a part of Sedgefield Country Club, while the Sedgefield greens were being converted to Bermuda grass.

*Top North Carolina Juniors will play: The FJ Invitational recognizes the best junior golfers in North Carolina and includes them in the field each year. The top-three golfers in the Carolinas Golf Association May rankings, Carter Jenkins, Benjamin Griffin and Kendrick Vinar, are guaranteed a spot in the field.

The winner of the 2012 NC Junior, Jenkins, and the winner of the 2012 Carolinas Junior Championship, Keenan Husky are also guaranteed a spot in the FJ Invitational. The following North Carolina golfers will compete in the FJ Invitational this year. The year of high school graduation, hometown and June 1 CGA junior boy's rankings follow each name:

*AJGA FJ Invitational Alumni Now On PGA TOUR: A number of golfers who played the FJ Invitational early in their careers have gone on to play on the PGA TOUR. Several years from now, some of the golfers playing in this year's FJ Invitational will also be playing on the PGA TOUR. The golfers below played in the FJ Invitational and are on TOUR now. The years they played the FJ follow the names.

**Peter Uihlein, who won the FJ Invitational in 2007, is playing on the European PGA Tour where he won his first tournament, the Madeira Islands Open in Portugal, last month. He is not currently a PGA TOUR member.
