CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina coach Roy Williams will have a tough task replacing four NBA first-round draft picks from last season's team.
The 11th-ranked Tar Heels can build around sophomore forward James Michael McAdoo and junior guard Reggie Bullock, while they're also hoping that guards Leslie McDonald and Dexter Strickland can complete their comebacks from serious knee injuries.
The Tar Heels don't have much bulk up front and will need 6-foot-10 freshman Joel James to provide reliable minutes beside McAdoo up front. They must also find a replacement for point guard Kendall Marshall, a job that will likely fall to freshman Marcus Paige.
Williams says he doesn't have "any idea what the ceiling could be for this team" and likely won't know until starting Atlantic Coast Conference play.
