Asheville, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Julia Potter posted a 3-over 74 on Sunday,
but was still able to hang on to medalist honors at the U.S. Women's Mid-
Potter finished 36 holes at Biltmore Forest Country Club at 1-over-par 143.
The start of the second round was delayed an hour due to fog.
Potter was the lone player in red figures on Saturday, but failed to recreate
that accomplishment during her second round as she opened her day with three
straight bogeys. A birdie at the fourth halted the streak before she gave that
shot right back with a bogey at the sixth to make the turn at 1-over.
She got back to even par with a birdie at the 11th, but then followed five
straight pars with a bogey at the 17th to fall back to 1-over. She parred the
last to end there.
Meghan Stasi, who won this event for the fourth time last year, carded a 1-
over 72 on Sunday to finish in second place at 6-over 148.
Olivia Herrick (75) sits alone in third at 8-over, while Christina Proteau
(77) and Rachel Smith (76) share fourth at 9-over. Shannon Lutynski (75)
occupies sixth at 10-over 152.
Not a single player was able to record a round under par on Sunday.
