Madison, MS (Sports Network) - Daniel Summerhays was 1-under through eight holes on Friday to maintain a share of the lead at the Sanderson Farms Championship before play was suspended due to darkness.

Play was delayed for over two hours earlier in the day for dangerous weather in the area. It was the second straight day play had to be stopped due to weather, as the first round had to be completed Friday morning after play on Thursday was halted because of rain.

Summerhays was able to complete his first round with a 9-under 63 on Thursday to claim the overnight lead and that held up when the first round concluded on Friday.

Fabian Gomez fired an 8-under 64 during his second round at Annandale Golf Club to share the clubhouse lead with Vaughn Taylor (67), Troy Matteson (67), Paul Stankowski (68) and Kyle Reifers (69) at 10-under-par 134.

Chris Riley and Steven Bowditch shot matching 4-under 68s to sit in tie for seventh place with Jim Herman and Brad Fritsch, who each posted 69s, at 9- under.

Skip Kendall, Will Claxton and Michael Bradley all sit two strokes off the pace at 8-under and will need to finish their second rounds when play resumes at 8:00 a.m. ET Saturday.
