Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Phil Mickelson dropped three shots over his final four holes, but was still able to hang on to a share of the lead at the Wells Fargo Championship.

He was joined atop the leaderboard by Nick Watney, who had a 2-stroke lead with two holes to play following Mickelson's late struggles, but slipped to a double bogey at the 17th to result in the tie.

George McNeill (72) bogeyed his final hole to fall into third place at 7- under, while Lee Westwood (72), John Senden (67), David Lynn (71), Ryan Moore (68), Robert Karlsson (69) and Derek Ernst (72) share fourth at minus-6.

Former champion Rory McIlroy (73) is among a group of players tied for 10th at 5-under.
