Pavin, Chapman still among leaders in Mississippi

Saucier, MI (Sports Network) - Corey Pavin bogeyed the final hole Saturday to fall back into a 4-way tie for the lead after two rounds of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.

Pavin carded a 5-under 67 to finish two rounds at 8-under-par 136. He was joined there by Roger Chapman (67), Bernhard Langer (65) and Joe Daley (66).

Pavin, who won last year's Allianz Championship, and Chapman, who won two senior majors in 2012, shared the first-round lead with Steve Elkington and Hal Sutton.

Tom Pernice, Jr. and Esteban Toledo both fired 7-under 65s to move into a tie for fifth at minus-7. They were joined there by Gene Sauers (66).

Defending champion Fred Couples carded a 6-under 66 at Fallen Oak Golf Club and is one of four players tied at 6-under-par 138.

Elkington posted a 1-under 71 and is tied for 15th at minus-4, while Sutton managed an even-par 72 and is one of seven players at 3-under-par 141.
