Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Chane Behanan, who was kicked off
Louisville's basketball team last month for repeated violations of team and
university policies, has enrolled in Colorado State.
"I have decided to enroll at Colorado State to continue my education and my
basketball career," said Behanan on Monday. "I will take online classes this
spring and continue my recovery. I'm truly excited for this opportunity to be
a part of the CSU basketball family."
Prior to his troubles, Behanan appeared in 12 games this season for the
Cardinals, and averaged 7.6 points with 6.3 rebounds. Behanan was a key
contributor for the 2012-13 national championship team as a sophomore. He
averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds last season and contributed a 15-point,
12-rebound effort in Louisville's 82-76 championship game win over Michigan.
"I am extremely excited to have Chane enrolled at Colorado State," said Rams
head basketball coach Larry Eustachy. "It is a great fit for both of us. He is
a tremendous kid, and I really enjoyed getting to know him during his brief
visit to Fort Collins."
Colorado State is currently seventh in the Mountain West with a 3-4
conference record and 12-8 overall mark.
