five blocks as the second-seeded Maryland Terrapins outlasted the top-seeded
Alabama Crimson Tide, 58-57, in the quarterfinal round of the NIT at Coleman
Len shot 6-of-9 from the field for Maryland (25-12), which will play the
winner of Wednesday's Virginia/Iowa matchup in the semifinals. Dez Wells and
Jake Layman netted 13 points apiece for the visitors.
For Alabama (23-13), Levi Randolph led the way with 15 points, while Rodney
Cooper and Trevor Releford added 13 and 11 points, respectively. Trevor Lacey
scored just five points but dished out eight assists in the setback.

missed a pair of field goal attempts in the final four seconds as they fell
Maryland overcame 18 turnovers by winning the rebounding battle, 33-27.
