Cedar Falls, IA (Sports Network) - Anthony James paced all scorers with 21
points as the Northern Iowa Panthers dismissed the Bradley Braves, 90-77, in
the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament at the
All five starters scored in double figures for UNI (21-14), which has advanced
to the semifinals to take on an opponent to be determined at the conclusion of
the quarterfinal round. Seth Tuttle had 19 points and nine rebounds, while
Deon Mitchell tallied 10 points and eight assists. Jake Koch and Marc Sonnen
netted 14 and 13 points, respectively.
For Bradley (18-17), Walt Lemon, Jr. logged 19 points, seven rebounds and six
assists, Will Egolf poured in 17 points, Tyshon Pickett put up 16 points and
nine rebounds, and Dyricus Simms-Edwards added 11 points for the visitors.
UNI outshot Bradley from the field in the first half, 53.8 percent to 42.4
percent, but the teams went into the half tied up at 40-40. The Braves shot 7-
of-12 from 3-point range in the opening 20 minutes.
The Panthers took control early in the second half with a 13-4 run to take a
53-44 advantage with 15:37 to play, and their lead never dipped below six
points from that point forward.
UNI committed just four turnovers on the night.
