Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Will Cherry finished with a game-high 28
points as the Montana Grizzlies edged the Weber State Wildcats, 76-74, in a
Big Sky Conference clash at Dahlberg Arena.
For the Grizzlies (14-4, 10-0 BSC), Mathias Ward and Kareem Jamar each added
11 points and Spencer Coleman chipped in with 10 points.
Frank Otis and Davion Berry each finished with 17 points to lead the Wildcats
(13-5, 8-2), while Kyle Tresnak and Scott Bamforth both scored 14 points.
Weber State shot 44 percent from the field, including 2-of-6 from the field in
the first half, as it went into halftime with a slim lead, 36-35. Montana
shot 45.8 percent from the field, but missed all but one of its six 3-point
tries in the half.
After the break, the Wildcats connected on a red-hot 59.3 percent from the
field but had trouble from long range, going just 1-of-8 from beyond the 3-
point arc. Though the Grizzlies shot 45.8 percent, including 1-of-2 from 3-
point distance, they had an 18-5 scoring advantage from the free-throw line in
the second half. The Grizzlies took the lead early in the second half, going
up by as many as eight late in the game. The Wildcats attempted a rally,
scoring eight of the game's final ten points, but Berry's 3-point attempt at
the buzzer was off the mark, allowing the Grizzlies to remain undefeated in
