GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gunmaker Beretta USA will not call Greensboro home for its new gun manufacturing plant.
WFMY News 2 found out the new plant will be built in Gallatin, Tenn. The plant will create 300 jobs.
Dan Lynch, President of the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, said the company visited Greensboro in the fall.
Company leaders looked at two sites including Reedy Fork Ranch, and Rock Creek Center in Guilford County. The project was called "Project Clover."
Beretta looked at 80 different sites before deciding on Gallatin.
