Burlington, NC-- WFMY News 2 drove the interstate to see how roads are holding up during the snow event in the Triad.
The snow continued to fall consistently all across central North Carolina starting Tuesday afternoon.
WFMY News 2's Liz Crawford spent the evening in Alamance County.
Interstate 40 was in good condition. On Monday night crews prepared the roads with brine which seemed to be working on the highway.
On smaller roads, snow started to accumulate by 6 p.m. Cars traveled very slow due to slick spots and snowy roads.
The 911 Communications in Alamance County told WFMY they had numerous minor accidents due to slippery conditions on Tuesday night.
