WASHINGTON -- A Winston-Salem man will be among the guests who will join first lady, Michelle Obama at the State of the Union address.
Tyrone Davis is a Fellow with the Environmental Defense Fund's Climate Corps. According to a White House news release Davis has been legally blind since the age of nine. But despite it, he proved himself as a high school athlete running track in high school. He also received his Masters of Public Administration from North Carolina State University. He has a passion for environmental issues. He has helped Elizabeth City State University to save $31,000 a year and nearly 200 million tons of carbon emissions reductions a year. He's now in his third year at Elon University School of Law.
