GREENSBORO, NC--A fast moving clipper system will move east of the area this morning as high pressure builds over the southeastern U.S. An Arctic cold front will move through the Piedmont Monday night and bring much colder air for Wednesday through Friday.
It will be generally sunny today with a high of 48. It will be a bit breezy with a westerly wind at 10-15 mph. Tonight will be clear with a low of 28.
A nice but short lived warming trend will develop on Monday as high temperatures reach near 60 under a mostly sunny sky.
A dry Arctic cold front will move through the Piedmont Monday night. This will set the stage for continued dry but much colder weather by Wednesday. The high Wednesday will be 33 with a low of 18 Wednesday night. Thursday's high will be 36. A quick reinforcing shot of Arctic air will arrive Thursday night. the high Friday will be 34 after a morning low of 18.
