Greensboro Police Investigating Two Robberies

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro Police say they are investigating two robberies that happened on N. Church St. this weekend.  

Saturday night at 11 p.m., officers said they responded to 219 N. Church St. after a male victim told them he was robbed by two suspects outside the library. The victim told police he was watching movies on his laptop when one man struck him in the head with a stick while another grabbed his computer.  

Police told WFMY News 2 both suspects left the scene on foot.

As a result of their investigation, police said they identified one of the suspects as Jimmy Lee Sullivan. A warrant has been issued for Robbery With A Dangerous Weapon for him.

Officers are still looking to identify the second suspect.  

After midnight, early Sunday morning, police say they responded to a residence on N. Church St. after a victim told them he was robbed at his home.

Police told WFMY News 2 the victim said two men came into his home, demanded money, and left the scene with some items. One of the men had a handgun.    

Police said they don't believe these two incidents to be related.
