FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. -- Winston-Salem Police say they are investigating after a tractor-trailer hit a guardrail on U.S. 421 South Thursday evening.
Deputies tell WFMY News 2 the accident happened near the Jonestown Road Bridge and clean-up is expected to last until about 3 a.m. Two of the inside lanes of southbound U.S. 421 are closed.
Police say the driver of the 18-wheeler was treated at WFU Baptist Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.
Motorists are asked to use alternative travel routes.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
