GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A car accident Tuesday morning on U.S. 29 hurt two people.
The accident happened around 4 a.m. by the I-85/I-40 interchange.
Police say the driver of a Volkswagen hit a stopped Toyota Camry. EMS took both drivers to the hospital.
According to police, the driver of the Camry has life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable, but critical condition. Doctors treated and released the Volkswagen driver.
All southbound lanes were closed for several hours while officers investigated the accident, but reopened them before 8 a.m.
