GREENSBORO, NC- High pressure will move off the East Coast Saturday. Low pressure which is developing in the Gulf of Mexico will track northeast and move across the Carolina's Sunday. Cool high pressure will build back over the Piedmont for early next week.
We will see some sunshine this morning, but the general trend with be for clouds to increase over the area especially this afternoon. The high this afternoon will be 56. Saturday night clouds will continue to thicken and rain will develop just after midnight and continue on Sunday. The high Sunday will be 43.
This system is expected to be loaded with moisture and rainfall amounts around an inch or more are possible before the rain ends Sunday evening. High pressure with cooler and drier air will build over the area for the remaining few days of 2013.
It will be partly to mostly sunny Monday through Wednesday with high in the low to mid 40's and lows in the mid 20's. Our normal high temperature is 48 and our normal low is 30.
