Fayetteville, WV -- It brings Tens of Thousands to the New River Gorge Bridge to watch thrillseekers from around the globe.
The annual Bridge Day festival happened Saturday in Fayetteville, West Virginia. This is its 34th year and the only day that it's legal to jump off the 876-foot high span across the New River Gorge.
More than 450 BASE jumpers were registered for the jump.
The acronym BASE stands for the places from which jumpers usually leap: buildings, antennae's, and spans.
Those who signed up come from eight countries and more than 40 states.
Nearly 90-thousand spectators attended West Virginia's single, largest one-day event.
