Former Kernersville Police Chief Ken Gamble is facing a lawsuit from a 2012 accident involving one of two people he hit with his patrol car.
Gamble hit 34-year-old, Anthony Sides on the side of Business 40 while he was being detained after a chase. Sides was one of two men who were handcuffed on the side of the road.
Wednesday, Sides' attorney David Freedman confirm to WFMY News 2 that he is representing Sides in a lawsuit from that incident.
WFMY News 2 first reported last week that Gamble is one of five finalists for a police chief position in Emerald Isle, NC.
He resigned from his position in Kernersville in March of this year.
