Dorset, MN (WCCO) -- Would you let your 4-year-old run a city or a town?
In Dorset, MN, it's a 4-year-old who calls the shots. That's right, you'll answer to little Robert Tufts who goes by Bobbie, the Mayor of Dorset, MN.
Every year the town picks a name out of a hat, and that person becomes the mayor for a year. From the looks of it, Tufts enjoys his job. He likes to play, dance, sing, and talk to his townspeople, but he also likes to sneak off to the lake with his parents in his downtime and fish.
There's an upcoming Ice-Cold 2013 Fishing Opener in Park Rapids, and Mayor Tufts has plenty of advice to give. He likes to catch plenty of crappie, muskies, and bass. He says the best bait to use leeches and worms.
Mayor Tufts also has a girlfriend named Sophia. He'll give up his post in August, that's when another name will be pulled out of the hat. But, we could see a lot more from Tufts in the world of politics in the near future.
