Halifax County, VA -- Authorities in Halifax County, Virginia found a missing Burlington woman's car Saturday morning. Inside the car, they found human remains believed to be those of Ruzie Suggs.
They also found a dog in the car in an area off of BuckShoal Rd. in Halifax County, Virginia. Hunters originally saw the car and called police.
The remains of what is believed to be Mrs. Ruzie Suggs are being sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Richmond Virginia for positive identification and examination.
The Halifax County Sheriff said there are no signs of foul play.
The dog is being cared for by Animal Control in Halifax County, Virginia until it can be claimed by the family.
The Burlington Police Department is now cancelling the Silver Alert for Ruzie Suggs.
The family of Ruzie Suggs has decided to cancel the upcoming vigil that was scheduled for Sunday 10-7-2012 at 3pm.
Mrs. Ruzie Dixon Suggs went missing around September 8th after she dropped off a friend in Greensboro.
Her family has been searching for her saying she may have had mild dimentia. No word on how she died.
