Greensboro, NC -- Thirty people will be out of their jobs at Lincoln Financial Group's Greensboro operation as part of a company-wide "strategic shift," the company said Friday.
"Recent efforts to enhance the strategic design of our organization resulted in the elimination of about 130 jobs spread across our different office locations," spokesman Michael Arcaro said. "The number of employees impacted represented approximately 1.5 percent of our entire workforce, and we are providing severance packages and outplacement services to the staff that were affected by these changes."
Arcaro didn't say when the layoffs would take effect, but he said affected workers were notified by Thursday. Approximately 1,300 people work for Lincoln Financial Group in Greensboro, Arcaro said.
