New York, NY -- It's a good catch -- related to a fake Babe Ruth baseball glove. Prosecutors say Irving Scheib has pleaded guilty to fraud in a New York federal court. Authorities say he tried to sell an old glove for 200-grand that he claimed had belonged to the Bambino. Prosecutors say a buyer backed out after Scheib refused to notarize a letter. Scheib was caught by an investigator posing as a buyer.
