According to the inspection report, the tea urn nozzles and ice machine needed to be cleaned.  And the manager was preparing food without a hair restraint.  We've contacted the restaurant to see if they've made changes, but we're still waiting to hear back from them.

The inspector said there were bus tubs of raw chicken and shrimp stored in stagnant water, an employee preparing food wasn't wearing a hair restraint, and kitchen equipment needed to be cleaned.  An employee at East China Restaurant said they fixed the problems and are waiting to be re-inspected.

The inspector said the dishwasher and a refrigerator unit were both broken, but the manager told us they were fixed immediately.

The inspector said raw beef was stored with ready-to-eat food and there were "small flying pests inside an empty tea pitcher."  The marketing team leader at Whole Foods said they corrected the majority of the problems while the inspector was still there.  He added that they've also adjusted the temperature gauges on their hot and cold bars and have done extensive training for the staff.

The inspection report said raw meat and raw eggs weren't being stored properly, at least two employees had long facial hair and they weren't wearing beard restraints and there was standing waste water on the floor in the dish room.  A spokesman for the University said they have corrected all of the problems and have implemented processes to make sure the problems don't happen again.

The inspector said employees didn't wash their hands when they were supposed to.  One actually used a phone, then scratched his head and went on to prepare food.  And raw meats and raw chicken weren't being stored properly. The manager told us they have made corrections and are waiting to be re-inspected.
