DENVER - Parents in Denver are celebrating the birth of three babies.
The triplets, born on Nov. 11 are all identical, which is very rare.
Their parents Teryn and Alvin Robinson were surprised to find out the news.
"Shocking," said Teryn with a laugh.
"Shocking, for sure, to say the least," said Alvin. "We went in. We
knew Teryn was pregnant. We're having the ultrasound and next thing you
know, you're having three babies."
The couple hadn't undergone any fertility treatment Teryn says her doctor estimated "the chances of having spontaneous triplets are about 1 in 8,000.
The triplets were born about eight-and-a-half-weeks early and are all in good health. Doctors estimate they'll be able to go home by their original due date, which was Jan. 9.
However, the Robinsons are hopeful that they'll be able to take their bundles of joy home by Christmas.
