A Grinch stole Halloween right out of a boy's pumpkin patch in Denver.
Neighbors in City Park say a thief stole 3-year-old Sylas Gotter's pumpkin on Sunday night.
And it wasn't just any pumpkin. Silas grew the pumpkin himself in his family's garden.
Sylas looked out the window and said, "My pumpkin's gone."
Neighbors warned the family that someone was out stealing pumpkins, but they didn't think someone would take one off the vine in a garden.
"We've been watching it grow all summer long, and excited about halloween coming up," said Kate, Sylas' mom. "We made a big deal about how we're not going to pick it until the night before Halloween. But somebody took it."
Sylas spent all summer tending to his pumpkin, which weighed between 10 and 15 pounds when it was taken.
"It looks like they just pulled it right off of the stalk and ran off with it," said Josh, Sylas' dad.
Sylas was anxiously awaiting the night before Halloween, when his parents were planning on letting him pick it.
