Stun Gun Helps Woman Get Away From Alleged Kidnapper

A woman's decision to carry a stun gun may have saved her from a terrible outcome in Stockton Sunday morning.

The 45-year-old woman told police she was walking in the area of of East Hazelton Avenue and Wilson Way around 5:20 a.m. when a dark green, two-door convertible stopped in front of her.

A man got out from the driver's side of the vehicle, grabbed her from behind and forced her into the car, according to police.

Police said the man then drove the woman to a dead end-road near railroad tracks. It was then that the victim, pulled out a stun gun and attempted to use it on the man. A struggle ensued and the lady was able to get out of the car.

The man then fled the area in his car.

The driver was described as a bald black man between the ages of 46 and 50 years old. He was wearing a beige t-shirt, gray zip up sweatshirt and faded blue jeans.
