CNN -- A recent survey by freecreditscore.com reveals bad credit can be a deal breaker when it comes to love.
About 30 percent of women and 20 percent of men surveyed said they would not marry someone with a low credit score.
Most respondents said money management skills are as important to them as looks when deciding on a future with someone.
They worry a low credit score could hurt them when qualifying for a home loan, auto loan and other lower interest rates.
The fear also extends to how irresponsible their partner would be with joint finances. This is especially true for women; nearly all female responders ranked financial responsibility over career ambition, physical attraction and intimacy.
