An environmental group says Pepsi products are made with a carcinogen.

Pepsi products across the country contain 4-methylimidazole (4-MEL), except in California, according to the Center for Environmental Health.

The organization said both Coke and Pepsi products were tested in 10 states. They found all Pepsi cola products had high levels of 4-MEL, but only one of 10 Coke products had 4-MEL.

CEH said both of these organizations would modify their ingredients more than a year ago to eliminate cancer-causing chemicals. Pepsi told CEH that their products won't be made without 4-MEL until February 2014.
