The western half of the country is getting beamed with some of the highest temperatures ever recorded on Earth.
And just like any heatwave everyone gets creative demonstrating just how hot it is by trying to fry an egg or see how fast a ice block melts.
Well, a Gannett Reporter for the Desert Sun in Palm Springs, took advantage of the Western heat wave Thursday to bake cookies for her newsroom colleagues.
Beth Roessner didn't bake them at home or in the breakroom oven at work...these cookies were 'auto-baked.' Yes, Roessner baked them on the dashboard of her car!
