"She has told us she will be here this time," Matt Lauer said Monday morning.
Beleaguered celeb chef Paula Deen, who was booked to appear on the Today show Friday but at the last minute decided she was too "exhausted" by her n-word controversy that she bailed on the gig, is now set to appear on the morning show on Wednesday.
Deen has been under fire for a deposition in a restaurant lawsuit in which she admitted to using racial slurs. On Friday as the whole thing snowballed as Deen released video apologies, the Food Network announced that it would not renew her contract, which expires at the end of this month.
But is there anything more she can say at this point? Experts tells USA TODAY Deen has already done irreparable damage to her brand.
