A sinkhole swallowed three cars on the Southeast Side of Chicago on Thursday, injuring one person.
The injured person is in serious-to-critical condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after being pulled from the hole, located at 9600 South Houston Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the fire department responded to the scene around 5:30 a.m. At that time, two cars had slide into the sinkhole. A third car fell inside to the hole after crews arrived.
