Lansing, MI-- In early December, a turkey caused traffic to slow on Mt. Hope Avenue; this time, a pet pot-bellied pig was the culprit.
A friendly pot-bellied pig was found walking about Mt. Hope Avenue by Linval Steet around 9 a.m. Monday.
Janine Stephenson of Lansing, who has a pig of her own, was asked by the Lansing police to help wrangle the pig after they checked to see if the loose pig was her's.
"I met a new pig," Stephenson said.
Officer Robert Merritt of the Lansing Police Department said the pig has been returned to its owner and no animal or human was harmed during the incident.
