WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Facebook may be making your life worse!
That is what two German universities found after conducting a study on 600 people who use the site, Reuters reported.
Researchers say one in three people felt worse after viewing friends' vacations, love lives and work success on the social media which triggered envy, misery and loneliness.
"From our observations some of these people will then leave Facebook or at least reduce their use of the site," researcher Hanna Krasnova from the Institute of Information Systems at Berlin's Humboldt University told Reuters.
They also found people who browse Facebook but don't post anything were affected most. People in their mid-30's "were most likely to envy family happiness while women were more likely to envy physical attractiveness."
