Two drunk women forced the landing of a British Airways flight on its way to North Africa on New Year's Eve.
According to the Guardian, the two women tried to enter the cockpit. A passenger claims that one of the women threatened the life of a flight attendant. The women are believed to be 50 and 43-years-old.
The crew left Gatwick and instead of proceeding to their destination in Tunis, they diverted the flight to Lyon, France. The women were then put in police custody.
The women were flown back to London on New Year's Day. A British Airways spokesman told the Guardian that UK police were investigating and said, "Our customers and flying crew deserve a safe and enjoyable flight. We do not tolerate any disruptive behaviour on board our flights.
"Monday's BA2664 service was diverted following the disruptive behaviour of two female passengers."
