Decorah, IA -- And baby makes three!
The third of three Eaglets to hatch in an aerie in Decorah, Iowa started poking its way out on Thursday evening while its two siblings -- seemingly impatient for him (or her) to emerge -- looked on.
The first and second Eaglets hatched this past weekend.
The Director of the Raptor Resource Project Bob Anderson says the first egg was laid on February 23rd.
Two eagles oversee the nest. Anderson says the male and female eagles took turns incubating the eggs. One of the parents fed the Eaglets from its beak in the nest.
The Eaglets have become a worldwide Internet sensation. Tens of thousands of viewers have kept an "Eagle Eye" on their computers since the camera was made public.
