Greensboro, NC -- Republican Presidential Candidate Herman Cain says he is "reassessing" his campaign after a woman came forward alleging a 13-year affair with him.
Martin Kifer is an assistant political science professor at High Point University. He says there are some serious talks going on within the Cain campaign right now. He expects they are talking with supporters and analysts to see how these allegations are affecting voters and Cain's chances for securing the nomination.
Cain himself said the allegations are taking a toll on his family, and is considering the impact continuing will have on them.
Newt Gingrich is rising in the polls, and Kifer believes we could see him emerge as a leader in the coming months. He said any one of the current candidates could really rise to the top noting, "it's too late to enter the race, but not too late to win the race."
