Body Of Spc. David Hickman Arrives Home In Greensboro

Greensboro, NC-- The body of Specialist David Hickman arrived at the Greensboro airport around 9:10am Thanksgiving Day.

Hickman's casket was escorted by the Greensboro Chapter of the "Patriot Guard Riders", and the Greensboro Police Dept.

The Army Soldier was carried through his hometown, from Piedmont International Airport down Bryan Blvd, onto Benjamin Parkway, onto Murrow Blvd, onto Battleground Ave, onto Murrow Blvd, onto Lindsay St and ended on E. Market St at Hargett Funeral Home.

Spc. Hickman was killed in Iraq on Monday, November 14. The US Department of Defense said Hickman's death was from injuries he received when an improvised explosive device (IED) hit his unit.

Spc. David Hickman was part of the Army's 82nd Airborne Unit based in Ft. Bragg, NC.
